WINNIPEG, MB. - Members of the Major Crimes Unit are asking the public for their assistance with locating Matthew Adam Gibbs, a 37-year-old male, who is believed to be responsible for break & enter and theft-related incidents in Winnipeg.
Gibbs is described as white, 5’9” in height, approx. 155 lbs in weight with a thin build and has blue eyes. He has numerous tattoos on his body and may have blonde/brown-coloured hair.
Major Crimes Unit investigators have obtained two arrest warrants for Gibbs for the following offences:
- Robbery
- Break Enter & Theft – Place (x11)
- Break & Enter with Intent – Place (x1)
- Theft Under $5,000 (x2)
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order (x7)
The offences are believed to have occurred over the past six months and primarily targeted various businesses across the city.
Gibbs is also the subject of a recent arrest warrant from Edmonton for firearm-related offences.
He is considered to be armed and dangerous. The public is cautioned not to approach him. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
