Police Called to Two Suspicious Packages

WINNIPEG, MB - On December 29, 2020, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to the 200 block of River Avenue for the report of a suspicious package.

Business and residential tenants within the immediate vicinity were evacuated as a precaution, and the intersection of Donald Street and River Avenue was blocked off.

While police were investigating this situation, another call was made to 911 involving a suspicious package at a Canada Post facility on McDermot Avenue.
