Winnipeg Man Murdered Thursday, Suspect Wanted


WINNIPEG, MB. - On January 28, 2021, at 1:26 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the 500 block of Craig Street for a report of an assault.


Upon arrival, officers located a seriously injured male inside the residence and began to provide emergency first aid, including CPR. The male was transported to hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.


The deceased victim has been identified as Wendell John Boulanger, a 44-year-old male of Winnipeg.


Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation and are asking the public for their assistance with locating Issa Musa, a 27-year-old male of Winnipeg.


A Canada-wide arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder has been issued for Musa.

Musa is described as Black in appearance, 5’10” in height, approximately 162 lbs in weight, and has a medium build. He has brown eyes and black hair. He is known to have tattoos on both forearms.


The public is cautioned not to approach Musa. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911. Additional information that may assist investigators can be relayed to Homicide Unit investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
