Friday, March 25, 2023 - I committed to work diligently to bring more funding to our community groups, and we are delivering.
Many of our community members spend time at the Deer Lodge Curling Club . This is why I worked with Kirkfield Park resident and pushed for the necessary funding to make improvements to the curling club roof, it was an honour delivery the good news!
Reg and the folks tell me work on the roof will begin ASAP.
I'm sure we are all familiar with the St. James Assiniboia Museum on Portage Avenue. Growing up you more than likely visited the museum as part of a school trip. Helping preserve our communities history is important.
I was proud to bring the news of a $25,000 grant to the Museum to help with programs and improvements.
Work is underway today to financially support more of our community groups. Stay tuned.
