Something I was advocating for when serving as our communities City Councillor is closer to reality, which is good news for Costco fans in Kirkfield Park.
A new Costco location application will be heard at City Hall this month. The report going to the council is for a commercial building with a floor area of 166,843 square feet in the Westport Festival near the Red River Exhibition.
The report notes, the proposed commercial building will contain a Costco Wholesale Corporation retail store.
The report includes renderings that indicate a Costco with parking and a gas station.
The city’s public service is recommending that councillors approve the changes.
