Election Promise Kept! We Are Getting Things Done in Kirkfield Park

During the recet be-election, the Premier and me made the community a commitment and I am proud of our PC Team for getting th job done.

The opposition are quick to put our misinformation, outdated numbers, and letters that have no actual signatures in the house. While others talk, we are getting it done. Our PC government is contributing $30 million to the Grace Hospital Foundation’s campaign to expand and improve the intensive care unit at the Grace Hospital by up to 20 ICU beds.

Premier Heather Stefanson told media our government remains committed to healing health care and improving health infrastructure so that all Manitobans can access better care sooner and as close to home as possible.". “This expansion project will ensure the Grace Hospital—and its dedicated staff—can continue to provide the highest standard of care they always have, said Stefanson.”

What do the staff think? “President and CEO, Winnipeg Regional Health Care Authority, Mike Nader said. “We applaud the Manitoba government’s commitment and the participation of the Grace Hospital Foundation to fund the expansion and modernization of the Grace ICU – which will help strengthen the services provided at the Grace Hospital, for all Winnipeg residents, and benefit our health-care system in Manitoba.”

The project will create space for additional beds, improve the workplace for staff, and support a higher standard of care overall, the premier said.

“The Manitoba government has made massive investments in health care throughout the province and developing the Grace Campus has played a central role,” said Jeff Coleman, chair, Grace Hospital Foundation. “The Grace Hospital has a new MRI building, a new emergency department and a recently completed diagnostic imaging center. This announcement is the next major step in the transformation of the Grace into a true acute care center, and the benefits of this investment will support the health of Manitobans for years to come. It will save lives.”

Minister Kevin Klein, the MLA for Kirkfield Park said, This latest investment will bring the total amount to invested into the Grace Hospital to over $100 million in upgrades, expansions and ore at the Grace Hospital since 2016. I am excited to work with Premier Stefanson on more improvements that impact all of us living in Kirkfield Park.
