Can You HelP Us?

By Councillor Kevin Klein

I received a phone call from a resident, Sandi, the other day. She told me of the garbage along the riverbank and that she and her husband with some help from others have started to collect the garbage. They have filled 20 bags already. Much it's too much for a couple of people and that's where you come in. I told her I know the good people of Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood & in fact all of Winnipeg. When help is needed, help arrives. I’m asking you to join us and help collect garbage along our precious riverbank. We will bring garbage bags and gloves for your protection. I will bring coffee and donuts. Friday May 1 at 11:00 a.m. We will walk and collect garbage on route to the riverbank from this location beginning at 11:00 a.m. We will meet in the parking lot of the Bridge Church on Oxbow Bend Drive.

Please consider joining us and remember that we will adhere to the Provincial Physical Distancing restrictions. I hear the high for tomorrow May 1st is 19!
