Have you ever wonder what standing in the rain for two hours just talking will do? That describes our first Community Conversation #ForABetterWpg Saturday at Assiniboine Park.
A group of nearly thirty people formed a circle with umbrellas in hand and listened to each other. We just talked. The conversation began with a simple question, "what brought you here?"
We shared frustrations that after years of promises and talk, little action has taken. We discussed ideas of where to start, we learned from each other.
We left with a starting point for a vision, a thriving, Diverse, Inclusive, and Equitable City of Winnipeg. But this is just the beginning, and we need to listen more. I will be releasing details on upcoming events this week.
