Police Seeking Assistance

The Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male investigators wish to speak to regarding an incident that occurred on August 6, 2020, at 3:50 p.m.

At that time, police responded to the first 100 block of Keewatin Street for a report of an assault. A male had been stabbed while sitting outside of a hotel, and the suspect had fled.

Upon arrival, officers located a 57-year-old male with serious injuries. He was transported to hospital in critical condition and was later upgraded to serious condition.

Anyone with information that can assist investigators in identifying the male in these images is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
