WINNIPEG, MB. - On January 19, 2021, at 3:08 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 700 block of Dufferin Avenue for a report of a stabbing that had occurred inside a residence. Upon arrival, officers located an injured 35-year-old male and took his father into custody. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition but was later upgraded to stable condition. Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation. It is believed that the two were involved in an argument, which escalated to an assault. Russell Ross, a 65-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with: - Aggravated Assault - Assault with a Weapon He was detained in custody.
