Councillor Klein Announces a $1,000 Scholarship for Students

WINNIPEG. MB. - Councillor Kevin Klein is pleased to introduce a Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood Student Community Leadership Award.

The award will recognize and support students who have exhibited leadership skills in making our community better.

Grade twelve students throughout Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood are encouraged to apply for an opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship.

"Young people are the future of our City, and I want to encourage them to become involved in our community, in deciding our future and the future of their children," said Councillor Klein.

I've been fortunate to watch many young people grow into great leaders in my role as a Referee-in-Chief for minor hockey. We need to support their efforts so one-day they can take on the leadership of our city," said Councillor Klein.

Resident members of Councillor Klein's three advisory boards will select a winner from all of the applications received.

Applicants must complete the application form and submit a letter that describes their community involvement, activities, and educational objectives by clicking here.

Applications must be received by May 14, 2021.
