AIR-1 Helps Nab Man With a Gun


On October 17, 2020, at approximately 2:40 a.m., the Winnipeg Police received a report of a fight and sounds of gunshots in the 600 block of Furby Street. AIR1 was nearby and able to locate one of the suspects involved attempting to hide the freshly fired firearm on the roof. Central Division General Patrol officers, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and AIR1, arrested two suspects and seized the firearm involved. Terryl Alvin James Severight, a 26-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with;

  • Pointing a Firearm

  • Discharge a Firearm with Intent

  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

  • Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm

He was detained in custody.


Aaron Lewis Bryant, a 29-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with;

  • Assault with a Weapon

  • Possession of a Weapon

He was released on an appearance notice.
