WINNIPEG, MB. - Phase 1 of the Wellington Crescent Riverbank, Path, and Roadway Project is now complete. Over winter 2020/21, the City completed the riverbank stabilization and erosion protection, as well as the underground utility relocations.
Wellington Crescent will re-open to traffic on April 1, 2021. Pedestrians and cyclists will continue to use a combination of existing and temporary pathways. Please continue to observe detour signage while traveling through the project area.
Phase 2 works, including road and path construction and final landscaping, is expected to begin in May 2021 once the spring thaw is complete. Road closures and pathway detours will be reinstated at that time to accommodate the work. Phase 2 notices will be delivered to residents before of the start of Phase 2 works.
The project is on schedule to be completed by fall 2021.
