Sawed-Off Shotgun & More Found in Traffic Stop


WINNIPEG, MB. - On February 19, 2021, the Winnipeg Police Service Guns and Gang Unit observed a stolen vehicle in front of a business in the Southeast area of the city.


The vehicle was being driven by a male, along with a female passenger.


The driver immediately exited the vehicle and fled from police on foot, while the female remained inside the vehicle.


After a brief foot chase, the male suspect was apprehended. Both individuals were placed under arrest.


A search upon arrest lead to the seizure of the following drugs and firearm:


• A sawed-off shotgun and ammunition

• Six grams of methamphetamine – (street value of $600)

• $700 Canadian cash currency

• Several mobile devices and drug scales

• fraudulent identification documents


Lawrence Herve CHEVREFILS, 40, and Felisha Anna SPENCE, 32, of Winnipeg have been charged with numerous firearms, drugs and property-related offences. CHEVREFILS was also charged with two outstanding warrants. They have both been detained in custody.
