Residents in Charleswood experienced a lengthy battle with the proposed development at 4025 Roblin Boulevard. As the are Councillor, I held many meetings with residents to discuss the development, options available to them, and about compromising as they were not opposed to sound development. I am proud of our community's work concerning the application for two apartment buildings.
Today, I am delighted to inform residents in the area that the Provincial Municipal Board has made a decision after hearing an appeal of the decision made by the City of WInnipeg. The Municipal Board said, "That the City of Winnipeg By-law 36/2022 BE REJECTED and not proceed to second and third reading by City of Winnipeg Council."
I am grateful I could bring Charleswood this news before my term as your City Councillor ends in a few weeks.
