Critical Incident Was A Homicide At Assiniboine Park

This past weekend I posted a story about a critical incident being investigated at the Assiniboine Park. Winnipeg Police has not stated the incident was a homicide.

On February 26, 2022, at approximately 3:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a Wellbeing call at a parking lot near Shaftesbury Boulevard and Conservatory Drive. Responding officers located a deceased adult male in a vehicle parked at that location.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and determined it to be a homicide.

The deceased has been identified as Paul ENNS, a 43-year-old male of Winnipeg.

On March 1, 2022, a 15-year-old youth female of Stonewall, MB, was charged with Second Degree Murder and Robbery. She was detained in custody.

Members of the Major Crimes are continuing this investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Crimes Unit at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
