Bridge of Hope Project is Helping Children & Families From Ukraine

We continue to see the devastation in Ukraine and the current refugee crisis growing daily. There are thousands of children and families who need our help. People from around the world and right here in our community are taking action.

Last week, I attended a Charleswood Rotary fundraising event supporting the Bridge of Hope Ukraine Project.

The main focus of the Bridge of Hope Ukraine project is to help children and families. Children and families are left vulnerable and need loving, safe homes to take refuge in Winnipeg.

We saw a video of a young family caring for more than 100 Ukraine orphans during the event. They escaped to Poland but are hoping to come to Canada.

The message out of Ukraine is terrifying. Reports of families currently serving in the military needing safe temporary homes for their children to stay in and other families that have fled Ukraine.

The Rotary Club of Winnipeg – Charleswood is working to bring Ukrainian children safely to Canada through the Bridge of Hope Ukraine – Family Support Project.

All funds raised will help Ukrainian families.

On behalf of all residents of Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood, I presented a $1,000 donation from our office funds.

More fundraising details and additional ways you can support will be coming soon. You can help today by donating by clicking here.
