During the early hours of June 19, 2020, the Winnipeg Police Service helicopter, AIR1, was on a routine patrol. At approximately 2:50 a.m., while passing over the Centennial Neighbourhood, the flight crew observed a significant fire at a multi-family residence located in the 500 block of William Avenue.
