During the election, I spoke with many residents in Tuxedo who had questions about the former Kapyong barracks land. People had heard several rumors.
Over the last 18 months, we have received numerous calls with concerns about the future of this parcel of land.
The landowners, Treaty One Development Corporation and Canada Lands Company have established the following set of Project Aspirations to direct their collective master planning efforts. Their Project Aspirations encompass a broad range of goals and values, providing flexibility to grow and adapt as the project evolves.
During meetings with the land developers, we discussed the importance of early community consultation. Treaty One Land Development Corporation is holding the first of many opportunities for residents to learn about the project and the objectives.
A virtual presentation will be held on June 17th at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom to discuss the master plan for the Former Kapyong Barracks.
