Home Invasion on Edison Avenue

On April 24, 2020, shortly before midnight, Winnipeg Police General Patrol Units responded to a report a Home Invasion that had just occurred at a residence located in 200 block of Edison Avenue. Responding officers determined that an adult female resident had been at the rear of the house taking out the garbage. As she was heading back inside, an unknown male came to the back door and forced his way inside. The male was brandishing a knife and demanding money. Other residents were alerted, and the suspect fled empty-handed. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The suspect is described as a male, mid-to-late 20s, approximately six feet tall, average build, dark complexion, wearing a black jacket and baseball cap. He was clean-shaven.
