WINNIPEG, MB. - On March 20 of this year, Councillor Kevin Klein announced a Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood $1,000 Student Community Leadership Award.
The award recognizes a student who exhibited leadership skills in making our community better. "Young people are the future of our city, and I want to encourage them to become involved in our community in deciding our future and the future of their children," said Councillor Klein.
I've been fortunate to watch many young people grow into great leaders in my role as a Referee-in-Chief for minor hockey. We need to support their efforts so one day they can take on the leadership of our city," said Councillor Klein.
The first winner of this Student Leadership Award is Abbey H. from Westwood Collegiate.
