ATTENTION Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood Residents.

We're here to help!

It all started with an email to all the Charleswood, Tuxedo and Westwood resident advisory teams. Shortly after it became clear that some community members may require help during these trying times We sent a request for volunteers to help and the response was incredible.

Shortly after Sherry from the Charleswood 55+ Active Living Centre reached out, on behalf of the board, to offer their assistance.

One small thought has grown into a community wide outreach program to help each other. I’m so proud to be a part of this community.

Here is how the Outreach will work.

All residents in Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood who are unable to leave their home and need essentials including food or medication, our group can help.

We can offer our help to connect you with the right people to ensure you have the essentials during this trying time.

The staff at Charleswood 55+ Centre will help connect you with a business to contact for items you require. The team has put together a list businesses, at the end of this email, that offer call in orders for picked-up or special opening times for mature residents only.

If required, one of the volunteers or members will pick up and deliver items to your home. The volunteer/member will deliver to your door, notify you it has arrived and wait 6 feet back from your door until you retrieve it safely. There is no cash allowed for pick up or delivery in the interest of safety for all.
