The extreme cold temperatures that we can experience in Winnipeg during the winter months have a devastating impact on hundreds of the homeless people, young and old, in our city.

Below are a list of locations that can be used as warming centres. When extreme cold impacts WInnipeg the City issues a notice reminding residents that facilities normally open on weekdays and weekends are available as ‘warming areas’, including City Hall, Winnipeg Public Libraries, swimming pools and Leisure Centres.

Please help a fellow human being and point them in the direction of a warm, safe place to get in out of the cold.

One random act of kindness could be the difference between life and death.
