(City of Winnipeg Release) Winnipeg – The City of Winnipeg has informed 41 property owners that their properties require dikes to protect their properties form river flooding, while another 16 properties remain at risk of river flooding and may require dikes.
As of 1:18 p.m. on April 6, 2020, the river level at the James Avenue gauge was 14.69 ft. River levels are available online at City of Winnipeg – River Levels and updated in real time every 10 minutes.

Winnipeg, MB – In its 2020 March Flood Outlook released yesterday, the Province of Manitoba advised that there is a risk of moderate flooding on the Red River. Predicted water levels at the James Avenue gauge at peak is between 5.8 metres (19.0 ft) and 6.25 metres (20.5 ft) depending on weather conditions.
